Abstract
This review presents the edited volume "Farmers and Cattle-Breeders of Ancient Europe: Problems, New Discoveries, Hypotheses" (Kyiv–St. Petersburg, 2012), compiled from papers delivered at the 2006 Vyshnevets conference on Copper Age technologies and cultural adaptation in South-Eastern Europe. The collection brings together research by leading scholars working on the Cucuteni–Trypillia cultural complex in Ukraine and Moldova and includes a substantial excavation report on the Bodaky settlement (2010). The volume is dedicated to the 80th anniversary of Trypillia researcher Olena V. Tsvek and contains her biographical and bibliographical materials alongside more than thirty articles.
